RESEARCH

MOBILE SHOPPING

LARGE CONTRIBUTOR

Based on my past experience with ASRV's analytics and further research, I've found that more than half of all internet shopping traffic is from a mobile device.

THE PROBLEM

MOBILE SHOPPING

CURRENT DESIGN

The add to cart button is not immediately accessible, and while scrolling through the entire page, the button gets further away.

DESIGN PATTERN

The static bottom bar assures that the CTA button is immediately available and is ever-present while scrolling.

Although Nike has a simplistic design, when the static button is clicked, the button performs as an inline link if the user has not selected a size. This requires the user to press the add to bag button twice.

Nike's design promotes the cart to be used as a convenient placeholder for temporary storing and comparing products of interest. This highly contributes to cart abandonment.

I still have to scroll up to change it."
